This might be true at our house!

Catch the wave... the heat wave!

Of course around here you just wait about half an hour and the weather can change entirely!

Road Trip!

I found this with my other Moses cartoons. Can you imagine a road trip that lasted 40 years? Do you have any idea how many potty breaks that is?

It comes with the position

Bishops often think the same thing: they've gotta be crazy to make some of those calls!

Sounds of silence

Coming from a house full of boys, I can vouch for the kinds of sounds they make at night!

Keeping it in perspective

Yes, it's that time of year — Girls' Camp! Some Young Women enjoy it more than others.

What day is it?

Happy Flag Day! That must mean it's time to start buying fireworks, right?

Peaceful, happy moments

It's the last day of school. There was WAY too much sunshine in our home last night!

Service is the name of the game

Some people just don't appreciate service.

I used to work with a gal who would have her kids bring in the toilet paper, dry it out and then roll it up for later use. I thought that was just plain weird!

There ought to be an hour of peace and rest

Of course there are those who take a vacation from Sunday school every week, attending the hallway and foyer classes...

No more student's dirty looks!

A more accurate picture would be of the teacher filling out summer job applications or registering for continuing education classes to keep up certification...

National doughnut day

When I first heard about National Doughnut Day, I thought for sure it was a marketing ploy dreamed up by the doughnut coalition or the Homer Simpson fan club, but it turns out that it's actually got historical significance.

The Salvation Army started the celebration in 1938 to honor groups of people who served doughnuts to soldiers in World War I. There were volunteers, called Doughnut Dollies, who worked out of Salvation Army huts and provided, among other things, baked goods to our armed forces. Wikipedia has a whole entry on the history. Who knew?

It would be highly appropriate, then, to give a serviceman or a vet a doughnut (or two) today — especially since it's the anniversary of World Ward II's D-Day as well.

Photoface

I'm sure there's an explanation for the duck face that so many teenaged girls do when they take selfies, but I can't figure it out! But then again, I'm not a teenage girl...
