We had a visiting authority at our stake conference this weekend. One thing he said caught my ear. Why is it, he asked, that we sit so quietly after a baptism when we really want to cheer?

I worked it out one time, and it turns out that for fifteen years we had people in our family in diapers. That included several different people, but still — that's a lot of diapers!

Keeping an eye on you

If you haven't heard, Tiwi is the governor installed in missionary vehicles to make sure they drive safely — and help keep insurance rates down. Kind of the Big Brother of the missionary cars.

It lets them know if they haven't logged in as a driver, if they're driving too fast, bring too aggressive (which some elders say is a matter of opinion) and all kinds of things.

Ask your local missionaries if they have a Tiwi. They'll be sure to let you know if they do!

Sketchbook: Super Groundhog Day

Yesterday was quite an eventful day, with it being Groundhog Day AND the Super Bowl (even better if you're a Chiefs fan!). I imagined what it would be like to combine the two events. 

Yeah, that's cold

The more I think about this, the more I think that it would be fun to make snowmen that depict stories from the Book of Mormon. I'll make a note of that.
