Caption Contest!

After after a couple of weeks of Girls Camp, it's time for a caption contest! What's going on with these Young Women as they study their scriptures in their tent at night?

Send in your suggestion for a caption by commenting below, or email it to me, or tell it to me in person! My esteemed panel of judges will select their favorite from amongst the entries, and we'll publish the winner next week.

There may even be some valuable prizes involved, so please submit early and often. Thanks!

  2. "What does 'big with child' mean?"

"After dwelling in a tent for so long, do you think Lehi built a cabin?"

"Abinadi, King Noah, Ammon. Who would you kiss, who would you kill, who would you marry?"

  3. "Zechariah 5:1-2:

1 Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.

2 And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.

    ...Suddenly I feel hungry..."

I admit I borrowed this one from a missionary in the field, who borrowed it from someone else. He was happy to point out that this was, in fact, a reference to food. Now I'm not sure that's correct. But still! The image of a giant flying buttery roll fills my stomach with delight.

  4. "Prayer is like a cell phone. But while we can use one anytime, we somehow can't use one now!"

"Do you think those who put on the full Armor of God ever get sweaty?"

"I learned it was hard to 'kick against the pricks' when I stepped on a thumbtack!"

"Do you think Elmo reads the scriptures?"

"I counted them. 31 instances of 'and it came to pass' or 'and now it came to pass' in 1 Nephi 16."

This has been fun. I think I'll probably end it here. But who knows?

  5. Nephi said, "And my father dwelt in tent." There's no way my Dad would live in a tent. He has to use the bathroom too much.

  6. I thought they said, " Camp will be intense." But what they really said was, "Camp will be in tents!"

"I've gotten used to camp smells now. To me they doth not stink!"

"Abish. I like saying that name. Abish. Abish! Abish. I think I'm going crazy."

"It's a bit weird if you separate the word 'Nephite' into "Knee Fight" and realize they fought with arms!"

"Oh, Sam! Is that the guy who married Charly?"

I'm going to stop now. I have to break this addiction of mine.
