Don't look back

This is the cartoon that ran one year ago today — my first COVID-related cartoon. This ran before they decided to cancel last year's NCAA tournament altogether. It was a weird and uncertain time for all of us.

We've now gone through nearly an entire basketball season with practically empty arenas; no bands, no cheerleaders.

Selection Sunday is this weekend, and the tournament will go forward. All the games will be played in Indianapolis rather than at sites all over the country. Not as much spectacle. And still no crowds.

But we're almost there. Let's hang in there!

  1. "And you're hearing cheering coming from behind me. Yes, it's there."

    1. It was so weird to have so many games played in practically empty gyms!
