So here's the deal -- I had this really great idea for a cartoon with some Scouts around the campfire. So I made this drawing, and I had a great time coloring it...and I forgot what the caption was!
That's where I need your help. Can you come up with a caption for this drawing?
I don't have any valuable prizes to offer, but I can at least offer you a warm fuzzy feeling if your idea is selected. Enter early and often. I appreciate the help!
I've been cartooning since I was a teenager, and have been published in magazines ranging from AASHTO Quarterly to the LDS Church magazines and several other periodicals, trade publications and newsletters.
Feel free to contact me with comments, complaints or questions!

Delete"There's the Dog Star, there's the North Star, there's the Moon... Wait! That's no moon! That's a Death Star!"
DeleteIs that a satellite or a UAV?
ReplyDeleteHmm... That has some spooky possibilities!
DeleteIs that Kolob? -Mary-Ellen Razeau
ReplyDelete"Um, I hope your brought enough marshmallows for him..."
ReplyDeleteI was thinking a Bigfoot reference like that might be good. Or "It's Bigfoot! And he brought the graham crackers for the s'mores!"
DeleteA few more ideas from dear readers:
ReplyDeleteKelly S: An ominous Harry Potter reference (Why is there a Dark Mark over the patrol leader's tent?)
Genova R: Gimme that marshmallow or I'm calling Santa on you!
Christy B: what has big, hairy wings and flies away with the scoutmaster in its talons?
TomTracy: Swishplop!
Scott J: Yeah, they always say the bats are more afraid of you than you are of them, but...
Jim B: So you're telling me those are stars, not lights from the mall?
Zach B: I don't need a marshmallow. There are hundreds up in the sky!
