Saved by science
It's bad enough to have bunnies steal your eggs, but then they vandalize them too boot! It's just not right!

Mail call
Waiting to receive your mission call is one of the hardest things about going on a mission. You, your friends and your family speculate on where you might go. But you never know for sure until that envelope comes!
My call was about two weeks late. We finally called the Missionary Department to see if there was a problem. Everything was fine, they assured us, there was just a hold up with that particular batch. Aaargh!

Life of Pi
Happy Pi Day! Go celebrate and buy yourself a pie...or two! Or wait until July 22 and celebrate Approximation Day. Either way, enjoy!

It's futile
I tried to warn you. Geek Week may not be pretty.
Today's cartoon honors Dr. Georg Ohm and Ohm's Law, which describes electrical resistance. I'm sorry.

Somewhere beyond the stars
Welcome to the Beckstrom Buzz's first ever Geek Week. Actually, it's only a half-week, stretching from Douglas Adams' birthday to Pi Day on the 14th. The next few days, the cartoons I post here are going to be, well, geeky (as opposed to the rest of the time, right?). There's a good chance that they'll only appeal to a very small segment of the population.
For example, today's cartoon is set in an area in the far reaches of our solar system, the Kuiper Belt. It's similar to the asteroid belt, but on beyond Neptune. Add to that the Loch Ness Monster and what do you get?

Little visitors
As missionaries, we seldom had people knock on our door. When we did, it was usually the milk lady, the old lady selling sesame oil, the take out delivery guy or the little kids in the neighborhood messing around.

What are the odds?
The most nerve-wracking part for anyone who is awaiting a call -- the speculation between submitting your papers and receiving your call. And everyone has an opinion!

Sliding
This cartoon reminds me of some elders from my mission who liked to extend P-Day for as long as possible. P-Day was on Monday, so Sunday nights were "sliding into P-Day" time. The transition back to proselyting on Monday evenings was a little slow. You get the idea. So did the Mission President, who gave them a talking to that was perhaps a little more stern than this one.
