Back (in your) home again
Our local missionaries have had restrictions on dinner appointments for the past several month. They've just been lifted a bit, and the elders are super excited about being able to eat with members — and not have to cook for themselves!

One day at a time
Just a reminder that General Conference is coming this weekend!
I've been a little remiss (actually, I've been out of town) — if you haven't yet, be sure to download your copy of the Ward Cartoonist's Activity Packet for General Conference! It's chock full of things to help kids (and adults) stay focused on the messages and have fun! And it goes great with General Conference Cinnamon Rolls if you're so lucky!

What’s on your menu?
This may be a little early for our Come, Follow Me.
One of my dad's favorite scriptures is from Numbers, when the children of Israel were complaining about having nothing but manna to eat. The Lord promises to send quail, so they can eat "until it come out at your nostrils."
Lesson learned: Never complain about manna

We often hear those stories of people who give up addictive substances without a problem once they learn about the Word of Wisdom. Yet there are so many people who struggle to overcome those things, even when they have a strong testimony.
Hats off to all of you, those who struggle and those who don't! The important thing is to keep moving forward in faith!

Sketchbook: Out of the area
OK, this barely qualifies as a sketchbook. After I sketched it and scanned it, I thought it would look cool with a little color. That led to a little more color, and then a little more color, and now here we are. I may as well just go ahead and make this a real cartoon.

Sister Green
Missionaries have been going green long before the rest of the world. Who needs combustion engines? They have bikes!

Sketchbook: True colors
It's so difficult as a cartoonist to decide what to draw when. This week we have Pi Day and Saint Patrick's Day, and we're studying about Joseph in the Old Testament. I'm sure I could have worked a pie (or pi) in here somehow, but I stuck with Joseph and Saint Patrick.

It was not in the wind
This was never a problem when we had church at home. Anyway, I always use the paper towels. It's safer that way.

With special guest stars from A to Z
That's one thing about the scriptures: there aren't very many instances where we hear the stories of some of the lesser-known characters. For example, we get a lot about Jacob, but not so much about his brother Esau. It'd be cool to have more of some of those family history stories!

What happened here?
This started from my Come, Follow Me notes about selling Joseph to be a slave in Egypt. The line, "What happens in Dothan stays in Dothan" seemed a little obscure, so I changed it to Primary. It still works.

Overcoat
One of my first cartoons to run in the church magazines was one of a kid painting at an easel saying, "Mom, you remember Joseph's coat of many colors? Well, we've got a carpet of many colors!"

Special Edition: The Title
I’m often inspired by my co-workers. Today’s inspiration comes from my good friend Arie Van De Graaff. I even borrowed his format.

One size doesn't fit all
As I played around with this idea, I imagined what it would be like if sacred sites had gift shops you had to pass through on the way out. Maybe that was part of what was going on when Christ cleared the temple.
I understand that later on he got a second T-shirt that said, "I worked for 20 years and all I got was this shirt, some wives, a bunch of kids and some cattle." That's more apocryphal that scriptural, however. Take it for what it's worth.

Sleep tight
I read somewhere that most guys are content with only having one or two pillows. Females, on the other hand, prefer more.
