When I was a kid, I got in trouble for drawing in my notes at school. I've even had a few bosses look at me sideways when they've seen my notes following a meeting. However, that's where I do some of my favorite work!
These sketches are taken from my conference notes. Can you tell which talks or sessions they came from? Check your answers here!
And be sure to check out my fellow cartoonist (and all around swell guy) Arie Van De Graaff's conference recap activity pages -- they're loads of fun.

These are so much better than my notes
ReplyDeleteIt was a great conference
and I liked the cream of wheat AKA dumb cow story, too
Those are awesome. I'm curious, though, how you were able to draw the first one.
ReplyDeleteIn every priesthood session I've every been in, the lights are down so low that the only way anyone can so much as take notes is if they use their cell phone as a light source right next to their paper. This works to light up a line or two but not enough of the page for a sweet picture of a scorpion.
Those were two of my favorite talks. I have a brother-in-law who lives in Egypt any my in-laws have some stupid cows!
ReplyDeleteArie, we strategically sat ourselves close to that single source of light. I can't read a lot of my written notes, but the scorpion turned out OK. I confess that I drew the flip flop later!
AWESOME...I am linking your post to my blog, hope that is o.k.
