I guess this is less a cartoon gag and more of a dad joke. That's why we call him Father Noah.

The rain came down and the floods came up

As a missionary, I experienced a couple of typhoons and saw the amount of damage they could do in a short period of time. The storms weren't so bad, it was more the flooding that came afterward.

And not a rest area in sight!

I've taken trips with kids and pets. I'll bet there were days when Noah was ready to park the ark and throw everybody off!
