Sketchbook: How hot is it?

For some of my kids it may never get that hot. I just tell them, “Let it go!”

We've been getting our fair share of that fervent heat in our neck of the woods. How are things where you are?

It was 88 degrees when I got up this morning. By noon it was over 100. I'm thankful that the church building has air conditioning!

Sometimes the simple solutions are the most difficult to see!

We're supposed to have a record-breaking heat wave this weekend. Look for me in the freezer section!

Oh, what I would have given for an air conditioned apartment as a missionary!
 

Bringing the heat

You never hear that descriptor on the weather reports: "What's the weather going to be like tomorrow, Bob?"

"Well, it's going to be hot. How hot? Fervent! Stay home and crank up the AC!"

That sinking feeling

I've spoken with many elders who served in Arizona that swear this very thing has happened to them. Sometimes it gets so hot that one can literally watch his or her bike sink into the pavement when stopped at a traffic light.

It's supposed to be up to 100 today. I hope nobody chases me!

Of course around here you just wait about half an hour and the weather can change entirely!

I don't normally do sequels, but this is a follow up to Thursday's cartoon. Our Arizona elder said that there were times when it was 100 degrees even at night!
