Having served as ward clerk, I can tell you it's not like this all the time. But there are days, there are days...

    You could have had it worse. My father-in-law was a ward clerk in a military ward in the 1960s (pre-computer).

      My dad did the same thing with his old Royal typewriter. Wasn't a military ward, though...that would've been tough!
