This one came from the margins of my notes that were taken during a staff meeting. 

Mark a verse Any verse.

When we taught Primary several years ago, one of the girls in the class was SO excited because she just got a new highlighter pen and could now mark her scriptures. During class she very carefully chose a page, outlined each verse and then colored in the whole page. When she finished that one, she moved on to the next page and started the process all over again. I admired her enthusiasm!

Best companion ever?

I've taken my kids or my wife on visits with me when I couldn't get my schedule to match with that of my home teaching companion. It's had mixed results. It would be a disaster if I ever took my dog -- although I'm certain he'd love it!

Sliding

I couldn't let the resignation of the Pope pass without saying anything, could I?

This cartoon reminds me of some elders from my mission who liked to extend P-Day for as long as possible. P-Day was on Monday, so Sunday nights were "sliding into P-Day" time. The transition back to proselyting on Monday evenings was a little slow. You get the idea. So did the Mission President, who gave them a talking to that was perhaps a little more stern than this one.

A slippery slope

Tubing used to be one of our favorite wintertime Mutual activities when I was growing up in Utah. Here in Oregon, it's not so much. Instead here we just go outside and stand in the rain.
