It's got potential!

When they entered the Salt Lake Valley, one of the early Mormon pioneers  is quoted as saying: "There wasn't even a tree you could call a tree!" Some of the remote settlements were even more desolate (looking at you, southern Utah!).

The desert has indeed blossomed like a rose. But it was a pretty rough patch of dirt when it started!

I just hope there's reason to celebrate a few first downs!

I was a little disappointed at the outcome of the BYU/Utah game, but I think it was — as always — an exciting finish!

Here's another side of my geekiness: I get excited around the 10th of May because it's the anniversary of the driving of the Golden Spike at Promontory Summit, Utah, completing the transcontinental railroad. W00T!
