It's our heritage

Moving people is a bit easier and safer these days, for the most part. As a Church, we've been trying to get people to move — whether it's to Zion or along the covenant path — since the beginning of the Restoration.

Maybe what we need is some kind of spiritual U-Haul.

Talking it out

Elder Gillies was the best for companion inventory. We'd choose a good location where we could talk and contact people at the same time. We had some productive sessions — and met some great people!

All in

I've been in some wards where they open up the church on Thanksgiving and have a potluck Thanksgiving dinner. Someone provides a turkey, and everyone else brings a side. It's great for those who don't have a place to go or just want to be with other people on the holiday.

Dinner preparation

Our local missionaries, Elder Boyd from Florida and Elder Winder from Utah, asked if I'd put them in a cartoon. Since they're never sure what they're going to get when they come to a dinner appointment at our house, I thought this would be appropriate for them.

And just in case their moms are reading this, they're awesome elders!

What's in a name?

A lot of new members -- and non-members -- get confused by some of our Church jargon. There oughta be a spot on the Church website that lists definitions for some of the strange phrases and acronyms we use!
