Would you like a towel with that? Or perhaps a firehose?

It could be worse. It could include giants and grasshoppers!

That's just super!

Day two.

Honestly, all I did for this one was draw what's in my wife's closet.

Keeping tabs

My mom would have sent one, but Korea was too far out of range!

A voice of warning

It's never too early to make plans for Mother's Day.

You have been warned.

A first time for everything

There's one way to guarantee your missionary will enter the MTC as fast as he possibly can!

Are you my mother?

I’m sure most of us have had the experience of grabbing the wrong hand when you’ve been in a crowd. It can be freaky — especially when you see the face of the person. Yikes!

Projected growth

My wife anticipated every conceivable situation that could come up for my son while he was serving as a missionary. She carefully packed his suitcase so that he was prepared against each contingency.

Two years later he came home with all that stuff still in the original suitcase, still in its original packaging. The good news is, he has an awesome emergency kit that's ready to go!

Open lines of communication

When I was a missionary it took days or weeks before my family knew that I had a baptism. Nowadays families can join in on a live stream. That's cool!

Light the World: Love Mom & Dad

I was amazed to discover how much smarter my parents had gotten when I came home from my mission. They got smarter when I got married and even smarter when I had kids.

Nowadays when I hear someone say, "You remind me of your dad" I think of it as a good thing!

Good, better, best...über!

There was a time when we had kids in preschool, elementary, middle school, high school and college. I don't think our minivan ever stopped moving during that school year!

Go forth an proclaim my word. Carefully.

This was from my sketchbook when we dropped our son off at the MTC. Mom was just a little...anxious.

Rejoice and be exceeding glad

Suggestions for today include sending a package to someone to show that you care, count your blessings, reach out to someone who has been a positive influence to you, and celebrate the accomplishments of others.

Be glad for the joy and happiness of those around you; it will come back to you.
