A chill in the air

It's that time of year when those who are always cold seem to get a little colder.

Sharing is caring

Maybe it was just my perception, but there sure seemed to be a LOT of sniffling going on in Primary last week. It's great when kids share!

A prayer for the children

It's that most wonderful time of the year, when classmates share colds with classmates, co-workers share colds with co-workers, and family members share colds with everyone! But the good news is, as soon as cold season is over, allergy season begins!

Oh give me a name

I remember spending the entire month of December as a missionary looking for someone to teach. It was a cold, cold month.

Cold in here

It's usually a good idea to dress in layers if you're going to be in the Relief Society room!

Out cold

It's unusual for us here in Oregon to have snow days from school. It's even more rare for us to have them in March. Last night it snowed enough — up to 12 inches in some places — that school was cancelled yet again.

When I drove past the high school this afternoon, though, the track team and the baseball team were both out there practicing!

Fighting global warming, one apartment at a time

But, wait! There's more!
Today just happens to be Mormon Cartoonist Arie Van De Graaff's birthday. Stop over to his website and wish him well!

A chill in the weather

I know of one gal from Tahiti who got called to serve in Montreal. That was a bit of an adjustment, especially in winter!

It never bothered me

Missionary companions can become an awful lot like siblings — they can find the things that bother you and needle you with them constantly. Maybe that's why we love them so much!

How cold is it?

Kinda hugs at the ol' heartstrings, doesn't it?

LATE AFTERNOON UPDATE: Did you see the AP story out of Chicago? Life imitates cartoon art!

Cold to serve

It seems like I have a lot of cartoons about snow, and a good chunk of those include missionaries in the snow. I thought it was high time, then, to put some sister missionaries out in the cold!

It's cold out there every day

We just returned from a quick trip to Utah to drop off yet another Elder B. We spent the entire trip in temperatures that were below freezing. The lowest low we encountered was -11 in eastern Oregon. Then the temperature hovered in the teens most of the rest of the trip. We were thrilled to get back home and find the high in the 30s!
