The accident

Ever have those moments when you’re teaching a lesson and suddenly you get that overwhelming feeling that what you’re teaching is true?
 

It was in vein

Have you ever hit that point when you feel you just need an extra spiritual boost?There's not an artificial way to get it, though. It comes from those old basics: scripture study, prayer, pondering and covenants. 
 

Airplane mode

I saw a news report that some airlines are considering a child-free zone seating option — for an extra fee. That got me wondering if they're going to consider special seating options for missionaries who are on their way back home.
 

Burnt offerings?

The reference is, of course Doctrine and Covenants 9:8: "...and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you..." 

You can also get points if you went to Isaiah 50:11: "Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire..."

I had a friend named Blair in high school. He played the trumpet. I thought that was kind of funny, in a homonymic kind of way.

A night at the movies — with a purpose

The missionaries in our area were faced with a couple of concerns. One, there's a great misconception about what the Book of Mormon is and what it teaches, and two, members have had a challenge knowing how to share their testimonies of the Book of Mormon.

The elders were inspired. They came up with an idea to have ward members take a verse or a passage from the Book of Mormon and create a short video about it. The video is something that would be easy to share on social media. Showing a compilation of all the completed videos would also be a great excuse for a ward social!
