I distinctly remember one interview with my stake president where I went in feeling great, but I came out feeling worried about my eternal salvation — and I hadn't done anything wrong!

He was a little intense.

We just had transfers, and we went down to one set of missionaries instead of two. I guess that means the new set will be super powerful to make up it!
 

Wondering why we called you here

My son's mission president goes home at the end of June. Word is that he has an appointment to meet with a member of the Quorum of the Twelve soon after he arrives back home. The collective imagination of the mission is running amok as they consider what the interview will be about.

It's all in how you say it

I suppose you could study the scriptures agnostically or irreligiously. But why?

Welcome back!

I'm reluctant to say much about the seven-day social media fast, but I think it was a great experience. It's the longest that this blog has been idle in more than ten years!

When I've taken time off in the past, I've either worked ahead or filled the space with reruns. Seven days off was a good, refreshing break.

Meanwhile, we're back at it, ready to dive in again. Enjoy!

Our family has recently been reading in Alma, where Alma is counseling his sons. It occurred to me that we only have Alma's side of the conversations. I can imagine Corianton saying something like this.
