Raise him up in the way he should go

That's exactly how it worked with me!

Maybe I shouldn’t use the past tense.

Member support

I've seen it happen more often with the Young Men being enthralled by the sister missionaries, but I'm sure it works both ways.

Trials of faith

Never go against the Young Women. It's a lesson best learned early in life.

Which prayer was that?

Out of all those critters, the most dangerous I ever encountered were the squirrels.

So many questions

I keep thinking I should make a collection of cartoons that have been rendered obsolete due to recent adjustments to programs. Of course, I never really understood what a Mia Maid was, anyway...!

This is the last of the reruns — this time around, anyway. I'll be back to posting new material on Monday!

Even if you're prepared, you can still fear

I thought about throwing in a Tik Tok gag in there somewhere, but I couldn't make it work.

And should we die

With all the treks and camps canceled for the year — they're always a great source for cartoon gags— I thought it would be fun to explore what a virtual pioneer trek would be like.

Join me over the next several days, and let's see how this plays out!

Sketchbook: Growth on all levels

A week ago Sunday we had a fifth hour discussion about the new Children and Youth Program. This came out of my notes.

Sketchbook: Not the big dance

Frankly, I never figured out the secret to impressing girls at stake dances. I learned a lot of things that don't work...!

But, hey! If you want to impress your family and friends with your preparedness for general conference, now is the time to download the Spring 2019 General Conference Activity Packet from your friendly neighborhood Ward Cartoonist! And it's available in multiple languages — and all for free! What a deal!

And it's not too early to think about what you should include in your Easter package to your favorite missionary. May I humbly suggest I Miss My Dork Dot, Volume 1 of Sis. Kerry Jo's Mission Blog, or the ever-popular That's One Small Step for a Mom, One Giant Leap for Missionarykind. a collection of missionary-themed cartoons by yours truly. You could consider adding one of Arie Van De Graf's books as well! (I'd shill more for other LDS cartoonists as well if I had the links).

One more thing (But wait! There's more!)... stay tuned this weekend for my General Conference Sketch Notes. Be sure to watch, and as Pres. Nelson says, buckle up!

Fairy Tale Theatre

I've said it before: If you think the sights you see in the morning at Girls Camp are scary, you've never been to Scout Camp!

On a personal note, I kind of like the way the sky turned out on this one. I love it when a cartoon comes together!

On a short leash

SFX: Eerie music in the background.

Cue Rod Serling: "Imagine a world with no targeted ads, no news updates, no unwanted, unrelenting political diatribes on social media.

"You have just entered... Girls Camp!"

Which, in its way, can be a little Twilight Zone-ish, can't it?

To dance is to live...and let die

I like this kind of gag. I'm sure it has a technical name, but I love it when a character jumps to  totally illogical conclusion.

Aren't the formations in square dances usually round anyway?
