What a lot of great entries in the caption contest! In fact, I'm going to directly steal an idea from the Ward Cartoonist and include all the entries in one mega cartoon!

Caption contest winner: Both sides now

At last! It's what you've been waiting for: the winner of our caption contest! 

The winning caption was submitted by the outstanding Kelly S. Our esteemed panel of judges selected her entry from among about two dozen other entries!

As the winner, Kelly will get a copy of That's No Moon — and the adulation of many!

There were a lot of great ideas. The judges laughed out loud at many of them. Thanks to all of you who entered!
 

And the winner is...

You never know what you're going to get when you open up a caption contest. There were some great answers — and a couple that were a bit on the scary side! Here's a sampling of some of my favorites — I combined a couple of ideas that worked well together.

• OK, Elder — I'm convinced. We're going grocery shopping this next P-day!
• I can't believe mom wants us to eat this box full of dead fleas!
• It must be fast Sunday. Mom's hiding the food again!
• First it was fast Sunday, and now it's fast Monday too?!
• Please! I don't want to eat baby carrots for breakfast!
• That moment you realize that you forgot to go shopping but you can't go now because it's Sunday.
• This means that either the Gadiantons are back in town or my brother is back home from college!

Runner-up No. 2: What the heck — Frosted Fleas?! That's what I get for ordering my cereal off the internet!

Many of the captions submitted for this cartoon mentioned "Scripture Power." My wife was amazed that I hadn't heard of it before. Maybe it just wasn't on my radar, because now I'm seeing it everywhere!

I have to say, this was the toughest caption contest we've had yet! Our esteemed panel of judges narrowed it down to three — worthy candidates all! — and voted for this one. This caption was submitted by faithful reader Sam Bradshaw. It would cause any missionary to panic!

Thank you to all who submitted ideas. There were some really good ones (and a couple of scary ones, too!) that I might steal use for upcoming gags. And when that happens, I promise I'll give you full credit (or blame, as the case may be). Alice's is already on the drawing table.
