Do you have a teenager in your home who constantly texts? Ask them to flex their thumb muscle — the one that looks like it's a bicep for your hand (I believe it's called the abductor pollicis brevis). It's probably way beefier than yours!

With the call for banning the use of all handheld devices while driving, I got to wondering what would happen if Santa got distracted while messing around with his iPhone?

Mini-editorial: One of the most effective PSAs I saw on this subject showed broken cell phones that displayed the last message the driver texted before being involved in a fatal crash. The tagline was something like: "Is this a message worth dying for?"

Message from the dust

We were watching a French movie the other day, Rabbi Jacob (a very un-PC movie, BTW), and there's a part where the main character reads from a Torah. It was the same day that Arie posted a cartoon about texting in Church, and it occurred to me that some of those early scrolls were text messages to our day!
