Sometimes these just drop into my lap. One of our youth speakers in church yesterday started his talk with these exact words. I thought they deserved to be memorialized.

The rest of his talk continued in the same vein — it was humorous, but also spiritual.

I loved what the next youth speaker said. She brushed back her hair, looked over at him and said, "I'm supposed to be the funny one!"

This is a drawing I made for our stake’s Young Men’s Camp. A focus is preparing the YM to grow from being stripling warriors to become men like Captain Moroni: “…if all men had been and were…like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever.”

I find it interesting how many general authorities tell stories about harrowing activities they had as young men. Yet on the other hand, how many high adventure activities get shot down because someone thinks they're too dangerous? How do we expect these young men to become great leaders?

I thought about throwing in a Tik Tok gag in there somewhere, but I couldn't make it work.

With all the treks and camps canceled for the year — they're always a great source for cartoon gags— I thought it would be fun to explore what a virtual pioneer trek would be like.

We visited a ward on Sunday where the sacrament meeting program was a report on Girls Camp — for the third week in a row, apparently. The bishop said he really wanted the ward to know what it was like. Having been on many a scout camp, I went there.
